Dhaka zoo
Dhaka zoo is largest zoo in Bangladesh situated in Mirpur, Dhaka. It is the national zoo under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. it was ceremonially opened for public on June 23, 1974. The area of the Dhaka Zoo is nearly about 75 ha. It has two lakes of about 13 ha, which receive thousands of waterfowls every year in winter. The total number of vertebrate fauna in the zoo is about 2,150 in 191 species. Included in these animals, are about 551 mammals under 64 species, 1,543 birds under 90 species, 73 reptiles under 15 species, and about 104 aquarium fishes under 23 species.
River cruise on the Buriganga River
40-50 years ago, a cruise on the historic Buriganga River in the capital used to be a must for visiting dignitaries. It was once the main source of drinking water for Dhaka residents, and the river is still crystal clear an hour upstream from the capital. But, these days they are confronted with foul smells and rotting fish caused by massive pollution. This stench is unbelievable. According to the Environment Department, up to 40,000 tons of tannery waste flows into the river daily, along with sewage from Dhaka, a city of more than 10 million.
Fantasy Kingdom
Fantasy Kingdom in Ashulia, just 25 minutes drive from the capital was established in 2002. The park has been set up on 20 acres of land. It has international standard and thrilling rides. This park is very attractive for people of all ages to enjoy different rides. There are two types of paddleboats and the most thrilling ride is the roller coaster. Moreover, there is giant flume, Santa Maria, magic carpet, whirly bird, happy kangaroo, bumper boat, bumper cart, izzy dizzy, zuzu train and many more. There are arrangements of concerts and various cultural programs for the visitors all round the year. The park is open from 10.00am to 8.00pm on weekends and 1 1.00am to 8.00pm on weekdays.
Bhasani Novo Theatre
Bhasani Novo Theatre, located near Bijoy Sarani of Dhaka is the country's only planetarium to present a celestial show of stars, planets and other heavenly oobbJectss in virtual reality. This dome‑shaped theatre with latest technological equipment enables visitors to soar into the space as well as experience the thrills of an interplanetary journey in a three dimensional environment. Bhasani Novo Theatre, constructed on 22.96 thousand square metres of land, was inaugurated on September 25, 2004. The theatre established as a non‑formal science education centre.The unique architecture of Novo Theatre with light blue, metallic dome easily draws attention of the passers‑by.

National Memorial
